Navneet after seeing his blown post

I recently resumed my LinkedIn personal branding journey with the challenge of posting for 21 days, no matter what. At the start of the challenge, my profile looked something like this:.

I started the challenge on April 11, 2024, and until today morning (20th April 2024), I didn’t see even the growth of a single follower or even a connection. But it didn’t demotivate me. I believe in discipline and I was to keep going whether I got the results or not.

I had scheduled a post yesterday on the learnings from Chris do’s podcast with Jasmin Alic. I had already written a blog on it and I repurposed it in a linked-in post. I didn’t even format it manually, I took the help of Chat GPT and it did an awesome job.

I was kinda satisfied with the post because it was well formatted, value pavcked and easy to read with very short actionable bullet points. I woke up today and since I had scheduled the post for 12 PM I enaged with a few posts at 11 AM. The post then got posted at 12 PM and I put two comments below the post.

Frankly speaking, my only goal was to hit the 100 impression mark, as my last few posts just missed the 100 impression mark. I then did my lunch and it was too heavy to handle so I slept while listening to music. When I woke up, I wasn’t in the mood to look into LinkedIn, so I just casually browsed LinkedIn in my mobile’s browser, only to find that I got 8 connection requests and I was shocked. I immediately opened my laptop and seeing the traction, I started giggling. My mother came, and she started asking me what happened and I was constantly saying that you wouldn’t understand (I guess she might be thinking that there was a matter of girls). LOL

I first thought that either Chris or Jasmine had engaged with my post. I looked into the comments & reactions, but I didn’t find any of them and I was to happy that I got some organic reach.

After some time, I learned that Jasmine had commented on my post as well, and I was in awe. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I used to feel envious when he commented on other small bloggers linked-in posts that blew them but when it happened to me, I was too happy.

Until now, I have responded to more than 80 comments and accepted some connection requests. I also got more than 150 reactions. I also made a Google Sheet of the creators who commented on my post and were active on LinkedIn, posting regularly. I am not planning to engage with their posts daily and foster meaningful connections.

This was my reaction, looking at my blown post.

This is how the stats looked afterwards.

Thanks for reading.
