Me & mayank in a dorm

Mayank had his JEE exams in Patna, and we had planned our trip to Patna for 2 nights and 3 days.

The biggest challenge for us was finding some cheap places to spend our nights. While I was on the train, I started looking for cheap places to live that were peaceful and safe for the reason that he had his JEE exams, which he wanted to revise, and I had my lifeline, my laptop, with me. I explored the web to find Relax Zone, Exhibition Road, Patna.

Upon enquiring, I came to know about its pricing, which was just 150 INR per head. It also had wifi, which was a must for me. First things first, locating the hotel through Google Maps was tough, and it was a hassle for us to book a rapido to the hotel. It’s within walking distance of Patna Junction. Also, the entrance to the hotel is not that visible. This is why this place is a heaven for unmarried people who want to spend some time together.

It has both AC and non-AC dorms. I don’t know the price of an AC dorm. The check-out time for the hotel is 12:00 PM. The room had around 25–30 beds and had just two ceiling fans, which sometimes made it hot, but after some time the fan worked. The hotel owner also has a stand fan, which he mostly uses when he sleeps in the dorm. It has an okayish western toilet. I prefer the Indian one, which this lacks. The toilet’s handwash is mostly empty. You will have to bring your own soap, detergent, or shampoo if you want to use them. It also has a bucket and mug to take a bath in, but it feels a bit oily. The toilet and dorm are usually clean, though, and there is an exhaust fan in the toilet and naphthalene balls in the washbasin. It also has a mirror. You will get a private socket with each bed, and it works fine. You will also get free wifi there. You will also get free water there. For valuable items, you don’t get a locker; you can simply put it near the counter, and it’s safe. It also has many CCTV cameras, so be sure that your things are safe. The ambience of the hotel is also good and peaceful, both for study and work.

Overall, it was a 3.5/5 experience for me. I would suggest that if you are tight on budget and can manage the above things,.
