Navneet posing with Bhagvad Geeta outside of Iskon Temple, Patna

Welcome to my blog! Today, I’m excited to share my recent trip to Patna, the capital city of Bihar.

DAY 1

My day started at 3:50 A.M. When I woke up 10 minutes before my alarm rang, and I called Mayank ( My travel buddy for this time ); as he picked up the call, my energy had no limits.

At 4:35 am, I left my house, picked him and headed towards bettiah station.

Soon, we were at Bettiah station, and we bought two tickets for Patliputra Junction via the 15202 train for rupees 85*2.

We got seats and were ready to explore Bihar’s Capital, AKA Patna.

We got some really lovely co passenger’s who made our journey a little better.

After crossing a few stations, we gave our seats to a few middle-aged people.

After hours of journey, our train finally halted at Muzzafarpur Junction, so I walked down and bought cucumber for ₹10

and a Parle-G biscuit for ₹10

And this Khatta Meetha for ₹10, honestly, it was decent.

Again as the train resumed its journey from Muzzafarpur Junction, we hopped and then bought a dozen bananas for ₹20 at Hajipur Junction.

The bananas were indeed delicious and sweet.

Soon we were over The Mighty Never Ending Ganges.

At around 11:15 A.M., we reached Patliputra Junction.

Now we were hungry and were looking for food like a hungry lion. We were also confused at Patliputra junction as we had no idea of going to Main Road.

After wandering, we asked a local and crossed the river via this locally-made bridge.

We also saw this massive pile of plastic water bottles. Who knows these will be reused and will be sold for ₹15 per bottle. Eww.

Literally, at this point, we were very thirsty, and to our fate, we found a Gola Wala, so we bought two Golas for 20 rupees each, which was f satisfying.

We then walked a kilometre to a local Dhaba to fill our empty stomachs.

The food was decent, but the pulses were just a mix of yellow colour and water. (Just kidding).

Later the lady who owned the shop also gave me extra vegetable, onion and chilli.

It was also very cheap just ₹40 each.

After we devoured it out, Mayank connected to one of his friend Ankit who then invited us to his house, so we took an auto to Krishna Apartment, Boring Road, Patna.

After I arrived at his room, I was exhausted, so I slept while listening to music; for a couple of hours.

I woke up at 3:30 P.M., and then we looked for Ola and Uber, but we soon finalised Rapido auto because It was the cheapest.

The auto was on time, and as it came, we hopped on it.

He charged ₹94 for taking us to Eco Park, Patna.

I bought three tickets of the park worth ₹20*3 and we logged in to the park.

I thought that the park would be decently big, but to my surprise, it was way big than I thought.

After we were done with Eco Park, we ate ice cream worth ₹20*3

And we were headed towards our next and final destination of the day, Iskon Temple.

For that we took an auto for ₹20*3.

We went there, and there I saw the mighty Iskon temple and Physics Wallah Vidyapeeth in front of it, and I was amazed to see both of them.

We were very thirsty at this point, and were striving for water; after many unsuccessful attempts, we bought a bisleri bottle for ₹20.

And then we hopped in the temple.

After a bit of wandering, we got into the room. After coming to the room, we did photo sharing ceremony, and then I slept at around 11:00 PM.

So, i Iooked at some tourist destinations in Patna and knew about SriKrishna Science Centre . While visiting we drank ₹10 Nimbu Paani as we were very thirsty.

We headed there and took ₹95 ticket per head.

After around 2 hour’s we were at Muzzafarpur Junction.

We didn’t take any tickets as our budget didn’t allow us. We also saw police officers, even a DSP, and we were a bit terrified.

Nevertheless, we boarded the train, and it departed at 11:35 A.M. there was only a coach for general passengers, so we had to stand, but after we crossed a few stations, and I went to refill my water bottle, I saw that there was no crowd in Sleeper Class; Hence, my friend and I changed our berth, and now we had a place even to sleep.

On our way to Bettiah, we ate ₹10*2 Cucumber

₹10*2 sprouts

₹10*2 spicy Badam

₹10*2 Bikaji Bhujia

and ₹10*2 Bikaji Chips
